Transliteration:

Allaahum-maghfir li (name of the person) warfa’daraja’daraja-tahu fil mahdiyyeena, wakhlufhu fee ‘aqibihi fil-ghaabireena, waghfir-lanaa wa labhu yaa Rabbai ‘aalameena, wafsah lahu fee qabrihi wa nawwir lahu feehi.

Translation:

O Allah, forgive [name of the person] and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, o Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it.

INVOCATION FOR CLOSING THE EYES OF THE DEAD

Transliteration:

Laa ilaaha illallaahu.

Translation:

There is none worthy of worship but Allah, will enter Paradise.

ENCOURAGE THE DYING PERSON TO SAY

Transliteration:

U’eethukumaa bikalimaatil-laahit-tamm-maati min kulli shaitaanin wa haam-matin, wa min kulli ‘ainin laammatin.

Translation:

I seek protection for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every envious blameworthy eye.

SEEK ALLAH’S PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN

Transliteration:

Qaddarallaahu wa maa shaa’a fa’ala.

Translation:

Allah has the decree and He does whatever He wills.

WHEN SOMETHING YOU DISLIKE HAPPENS, OR FOR WHEN YOU FAIL TO ACHIEVE WHAT YOU ATTEMPT TO DO.

Transliteration:

Allahumma laa sahla illa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa Anta taj’alul hazna itha shi’ta sahlan.Allahumma laa sahla illa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa Anta taj’alul hazna itha shi’ta sahlan.

Translation:

O Allah, there is no ease other than what you make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.O Allah, there is no ease other than what you make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.

WHEN YOU FIND SOMETHING BECOMING DIFFICULT FOR YOU.

Transliteration:

Allahumma laa sahla illa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa Anta taj’alul hazna itha shi’ta sahlan.

Translation:

O Allah, there is no ease other than what you make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.

Transliteration:

A’uthu billaahi minash-shaitaa-nir-rajeem.

Translation:

Say: “I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast, “them spit to your left. (Do this three times in Arabic.)
