Transliteration:

Allaahumma baarik lanaa fee thanarina, wa baarik lanaa fee madinatina wa baarik lana fee saa’ina wa baarik lanaa fee muddina.

Translation:

O Allah, bless us in our dates, and bless us in our town, bless us in our Saa’ and Mudd.

Transliteration:

Innee saa’imun, Innee saa’imun.

Translation:

I am fasting. I am fasting.

SOMEONE WHO OFFERS YOU FOOD WHEN YOU ARE FASTING, WHICH YOU DECLINE

Transliteration:

Aftara ‘indakumus-saa’imoona, wa akala ta’aamakumul-abraaru, wa sallat’alaikumul-malaa’ikatu.

Translation:

With you, those who are fasting have broken their fast, you have fed those who are righteous, and the angels recite their prayers upon you.

INVOCATION FOR A FAMILY WHO INVITES YOU TO BREAK YOUR FAST WITH THEM

Transliteration:

Allaahumma at’im man at’amanee wasqi man saqaanee.

Translation:

O Allah, feed the one who has fed me and give drink to the one who has given me drink.

INVOCATION FOR SOMEONE WHO GIVES YOU DRINK OR OFFERS IT TO YOU

Transliteration:

Allaahumma baarik lana feehi wa zidnaa minhu.

Translation:

O Allah, bless us in it and give us more of it.

WHOEVER ALLAH HAS GIVEN MILK TO DRINK, SHOULD SAY:

Transliteration:

Bismillaahi wa alaa Barakatillaah.

Translation:

In the name of Allah and with His blessings.

INVOCATION BEFORE EATING

Transliteration:

Allaahumma sayyiban naafi’an.Allaahumma sayyiban naafi’an.Allaahumma sayyiban naafi’an.

Translation:

O Allah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.O Allah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.O Allah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.

INVOCATIONS FOR WHEN IT RAINS.

Transliteration:

subhaan allathi yusabbihur-ra’du bi hamdihi wal-malaa’ikatu min kheefatihi.

Translation:

Glory to Him whom thunder and angels glorify due to fear of Him.

INVOCATION FOR WHEN IT THUNDERS

Transliteration:

Allaahum-maghfir lahu Allaahum-ma thabbit- hu.

Translation:

O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, strengthen him.

INVOCATION TO BE RECITED AFTER BURYING THE DEAD

Transliteration:

Bismillaahi wa ‘alaa sunnati Rasoolillaahi.Bismillaahi wa ‘alaa sunnati Rasoolillaahi.

Transliteration:

INVOCATION FOR CLOSING THE EYES OF THE DEAD

Transliteration:

Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilaihi raaji’oon, Allaahumma’-jurni fee museebatee wakhluf lee khairan minhaa.

Translation:

To Allah we belong and unto Him we return. O Allah, recompense me for my affliction and replace it for me with something better.

INVOCATION FOR WHEN TARGEDY TRIKES

Transliteration:

Laa ilaaha illallaahu.Laa ilaaha illallaahu.

Translation:

ENCOURAGE THE DYING PERSON TO SAY

Transliteration:

Translation:

SEEK ALLAH’S PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN

Transliteration:

Transliteration:

Allahumma laa sahla illa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa Anta taj’alul hazna itha shi’ta sahlan.Allahumma laa sahla illa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa Anta taj’alul hazna itha shi’ta sahlan.

Translation:

O Allah, there is no ease other than what you make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.O Allah, there is no ease other than what you make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.

WHEN YOU FIND SOMETHING BECOMING DIFFICULT FOR YOU.

Transliteration:

Allahumma laa sahla illa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa Anta taj’alul hazna itha shi’ta sahlan.

Translation:

O Allah, there is no ease other than what you make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.

Transliteration:

A’uthu billaahi minash-shaitaa-nir-rajeem.

Translation:

Say: “I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast, “them spit to your left. (Do this three times in Arabic.)

Transliteration:

Allaahumak-fineehim bimaa shi’ta.

Translation:

O Allah, suffice [i.e. protect] me against them however You wish.

IF YOU FEAR PEOPLE MAY HARM YOU

Transliteration:

Allahumma munzilal-kitaabi, saree’al-hisaabi, ihzimil-ahzaaba, Allaahumma ihzimhum wa zalzilhum.

Translation:

O Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift to account, defeat the groups (of disbelievers). O Allah, defeat them and shake them.

INVOCATION AGAINST AN ENEMY

Transliteration:

A ‘uthu bi kalimaatil-laahit-taam-maati min ghadhabihi wa’iqaabihi, wa sharri’ibaadihi, wa min hama-zaatish-shayaateeni wa an yahdhuroon.

Translation:

I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, from the evil of His slaves and from the taunts of devils and from their presence.

Transliteration:

Astaghfirullaaha--- Allaahumma Antas-Salaamu wa minkas-Salaam, tabaarakta ya thal-Jalaali wal-Ikraam.

Translation:

I seek the forgiveness of Allah (three times). O Allah, You are peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O owner of majesty and honor.

COMLETING THE PRAYER

Transliteration:

Allahumma Raba haathihid-da ‘watit-taamati was-salaatil-qaa’imati, aati Muhammadanil-waseelata wal-fadheelata, wab’ath-hu maqaamam-mahmooda nillathee wa’adtahu, [innaka laa tukhliful-mee’aad.

Translation:

O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and established prayer. Grant Muhammad the intercession and favor, and raise him to the honored station You have promised him, [verily You do not neglect promises].

Transliteration:

Wa anaa ash-haadu an laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu,radheetu billaahi rabban, wa bi Muhammadin Rasoolan wa bil Islaami deenan.

Translation:

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger. I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Muhammad as a Messenger and with Islam as (my) religion. [To be recited in Arabic after the Mu’aththin’s (Muazzin) Tashahhud or the words of affirmation of Faith].

 

 

HEARING THE ATHAN

Transliteration:

Bismillaahi, was-sallaatu was-salaamu’alaa Rasoolillaahi. Allaahum-ma innee as’aluka min fadhlika, Allaahumma’simnee minash-shaitaanir-rajeem.

Translation:

In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask for Your favor, O Allah, protect me from Satan the outcast.

 

 

LEAVINGTHE MOSQUE

Transliteration:

Hayaa’alas-Salaah Hayya ‘alal- Falaah Here you should say: Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah.

Translation:

Hasten to the prayer and hasten to salvation. ------------------------------------------------ There is no might and no power except by Allah.

 

 

HEARING THE ATHAN(AZAAN)[CALL TO PRAYER

Transliteration:

(Bismillaahi) Allaahumma innee a’uthu bika minal-khubthi wal khabaa’ith.

Translation:

(Before entering) [In the name of Allah]. (Then) Oh Allah, I seek protection in You from the male and female unclean spirits.
